Here are some common sense travel tips for international travel.
Passport Requirement
To return to the U.S. from Mexico by land you need to prove your identity and your citizenship. A passport is the best form of identification. If you don't have a passport, you must have a photo ID from the government (like your driver's license) and your birth certificate.

Time Limit to Finish
Avid cyclists will finish in 2 hours. Casual cyclists average about 4 hours. You must complete the 50 mile course by 4:30 pm and reach each Aid Station before its closing time:
- Aid Station 1 at 16 Miles closes at 1 pm
- Aid Station 2 at 27 Miles closes at 2:30 pm
- Aid Station 3 at 42 Miles closes at 3:30 pm
- 50 Mile Mark Aid Station closes at 4:30 pm

Purchase Policies
- No Refunds - We do not offer refunds.
- Credit - Unused entries are credited before the event. Credit toward the next event is offered only for entries cancelled before the event. For early entries received by mail, return the unused entry packet postmarked before the event. For late entries in Will Call, notify us by email or telephone before the event. Credit includes entry fee and souvenirs.
- Lost Entry Packets - Lost entries are not replaced for free. If you lose your entry packet, you must purchase a replacement entry at the event for full price. No refund, reimbursement or credit is offered.
- Forgotten Entry Packets - Forgotten entries are reimbursed in full. If you forget your entry packet, you must purchase a replacement entry at the event for full price. When you return the forgotten entry packet we will reimburse you for that entry.
- Missing Entry Packets - Missing entry packets are voided and replaced for free. If you register early and your entry packet is scheduled to be mailed to you and it does not arrive, we can void the missing number, report it to event security and local police, and issue you a replacement number at no charge. Bring a photo ID to Will Call at the event and notify event staff that your entry did not arrive.
